    Greenwood School

    Founded in 1978 in Putney, VT, Greenwood School is the premier school for young men, grades 6 through 12, who have learning, attention and executive function challenges.     Greenwood seeks an enthusiastic, reliable weekend team leader to serve on its weekend staff. Weekends at Greenwood are a time when students engage in activities that highlight our rural setting as well as providing opportunities for students to travel to cultural events in nearby cities. Weekend trips may include skiing at Okemo Mountain, climbing at a local crag, or attending a sports game in nearby cities. In addition, smaller trips are taken to local theaters, museums or students may enjoy remaining on campus and exploring our art studio, wood shop, and 100 acre woodlot.
    The weekend team leader works directly with the Director of Student Life and Director of Residential Life.  A weekend team leader will be on duty every weekend, excluding school vacations, with the understanding that every third weekend, the team leader will be in charge of overseeing all events and programming of the weekend and working directly with the weekend staff.
    This position equates to every weekend while school is in session, approximately 29 hours between Friday-Sunday evening. Weekend Team members must obtain a Type II Bus license endorsement prior to or during the fall term.
    Qualified candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, and experience working with adolescent boys in 6th-12th grade. Previous experience in either an educational, residential, or human service background is preferable.
