  • Full Charge Bookkeeper (part-time)

    The Greenwood School is looking for a part-time bookkeeper to provide support to the Director of Finance and Operations.

    • Full-cycle processing of Accounts Payable
    • Posting student account charges and generating monthly statements
    • Bank and investment account reconciliations
    • Credit card management
    • Backup for payroll processing (Paylocity) and benefits administration
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
    • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, preferably in a nonprofit or educational environment
    • Proficiency with Quickbooks desktop software required
    • Human Resource and Benefits Administration experience a plus
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite products
    10-15 hours per week to start, with some schedule flexibility.

    Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Mathematics Faculty

    Teaching Responsibilities:

    • Teaches courses in mathematics as determined by the Department Head.
    • Utilize a multi-mode teaching practice including but not limited to: demonstrations, discussions, manipulatives, and online experiences.
    • Plans, develops, and utilizes a variety of instructional materials in order to support students with learning differences including: dyslexia, dyscalculia and executive functioning.
    • Individualizes and differentiates instruction including incorporating IEP goals and objectives as well as psychometric testing results.
    • Provides instruction in small class size (3-6 students).
    • Maintains a classroom culture that encourages interaction and collaboration.
    • Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and reports student academic, social, and emotional growth.
    • Creates and administers assessments that meet the learning style and ability of our students.
    • Provide a motivating and stimulating learning environment.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Positive and contributing member of the mathematics department.
    • Positive and contributing member of the faculty.
    • Involved in professional growth through workshops, conferences, and other professional areas as determined by the Department Head.
    • Fulfill expectations of a full-time faculty member as determined by the Head of School.
    • Evaluation and assessment throughout the year by the Department Head and Academic Dean.
    • Support for students through extra help and office hours.
    • Appropriate communication with families regarding their child’s experience in the math classroom.


    • A bachelor’s degree or a degree of higher education.
    • An individual who has taught and interacted with students with diagnosed learning differences.
    • Superior executive skills and the ability to work with a high level of consistency and integrity.
    • Highly-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • A strong collaborator with school professionals
    • Knows or has the ability to quickly learn communication systems such as Blackbaud.
    • A sense of humor and optimism along with a faith in students’ ability to learn and grow.
    • A clear understanding of the independent boarding school model and a willingness to embrace all responsibilities associated with this model.

  • School Nurse

    The health professional/nurse will be responsible to oversee all aspects of personal health and well-being for our boarding and day students. The nurse will bring a level of professionalism to the job and interface with the faculty on a daily basis.
    Monday - Friday 7AM – 4PM; Saturday and Sunday: on call as needed.
    • Support the residential staff with morning wake ups: triage sick or injured students, dispense routine meds
    • Attend Breakfast and Lunch
    • Dispense meds at scheduled times either at the Health Office or at meals
    • Train and delegate residential faculty for med dispensation for other times as needed (in evenings and on weekends or when the nurse is away from campus)
    • Triage and care for sick students
    • Support the Director of Student Life in maintaining attendance records
    • Attend faculty, support team meetings regularly and residential life (dorm parent) meetings as needed
    • Support the residential staff in providing a safe and positive dorm experience
    • Prepare all medications for each week. This includes dispensing medication during the academic day and preparing medications to be dispensed during the evenings, weekends, and breaks
    • Coordinate with physicians, families and pharmacies to fill prescriptions as necessary
    • Coordinate with families; answer any questions re: insurance
    • Coordinate payments for prescriptions
    • Schedule and coordinate medical and orthodontist appointments
    • Accompany students as needed or arrange transportation to appointments
    • Weekend check-ins for medical needs and ER visits outside of normal hours as needed
    • Maintain required State of Vermont requirements for reporting and protocols
    • Communicate with physicians and families regarding medication changes.  Document all medication changes
    • Conduct drug testing as needed
    • Maintain up to date Health records of students
    • Maintain Medication Administration Records
    • Budget and oversee ordering of medical supplies
    • Arrange for fall Flu Clinic for Greenwood faculty and staff
    • Maintain First Aid Kits throughout campus and on school vehicles
    • Delegation protocol and training for all residential staff for medication and and health office protocols and current student medical concerns.
    • Arrange CPR training for faculty and staff
    • Coordinate healthcare insurance with international families
