One of Greenwood’s greatest strengths is the ability to accommodate the needs and interests of our diverse community. We are small and flexible, offering an ever changing list of fun and stimulating after school and weekend activities and adventures.

Small also means we have a short list of formal sports teams which can change depending on the student population. In recent years Greenwood has consistently competed in Basketball and Soccer.

With or without a formal team uniform, our students are skating or playing hockey on the school pond, ultimate frisbee or disc golf on our 9-hole course, and skiing and snowboarding at Mount Snow twice a week.

If your child is drawn to water, there's fishingswimming and canoeing in the local river or on campus at Greenwood's three-acre pond. For those who prefer exploring the woods and mountains, there's always hikingtubingsnow shoeingmountain biking and camping. In between structured classes and activites students will gather at the on campus skatepark or in the gym where we have much loved climbing and bouldering walls.

Not everyone is an outdoor enthusiast, or they might just need a day of self-reflection. Some students prefer to use their free time to build in the woodshop, craft metal objects in the forge, produce digital content, create in the art or ceramics studios or tinker in the STEAM Lab.

There's a Greenwood debate club, school newspaper, "Videography Crew" and even our own homegrown, "Landscape Nation," of early rising students who volunteer to work the grounds when the sun comes up. The Greenwood Rock Band jams regularly in an on campus music cabin and performs at school events. The list of Greenwood activities is endless and ever changing.

Greenwood students use their free time participating in community service, secure internships on and off campus, and even apply for school jobs.

We encourage Greenwood students to remain open minded, as exposure to different activites, people and places, leads to self discovery.
